Cider Apple Orchard

Our first orchard block is nearly complete with approximately 40 different varieties of hard cider and multipurpose apples. We started planting in 2020, nearly 1000 trees per year. With apple names such as Harrison, Goldrush, WineCrisp, Bramley’s Seedling, Porters Perfection, Chieftain and Puget Spice to unique varieties such as Frequin Rouge, Muscadet De Dieppe, Sangre De Toro, Fortune and Mutsu. Our plantings at Honey Hound Orchards in 2023 will bring in a few more new apple varieties with our focus plantings on the main apple variety that we will use for our farm crafted hard and sweet cider.  

 

Some of our multipurpose apple varieties will be made available in our farm store. Apples such as Galarina, Crimson Crisp, Honeycrisp, Sundance, Blondee, Esopus Spitzenburg, Enterprise, Newtown Pippen, Cosmic Crisp and State Fair will be showcased as their season arrives. Apples great for eating, baking, processing and some available for those daring to try their hand at making their own hard and sweet cider.
